Coronavirus Rapid Verification Unit

WE CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH

While you remain in the vehicle, you will be given a swab and asked to collect a sample of nasal secretions. This is done by inserting the swab into your nostril approximately 1 inch into the nasal passage (midway) with the most visible drainage or the nostril that is most congested if drainage is not present. The swab is rotated several times, removed gently and this process is repeated on the other side.

Q&A

Covered patients should not have any out-of-pocket costs, but you should check with your health plan to confirm before scheduling a test. If you have health insurance, you must bring your card with you to the test site

Results for rapid testing are generally returned in less than 5 minutes of specimen collection (rapid testing locations are limited). Accuracy is generally 99.9%
